    What's New This Year:

Steamboat boasted a record $16 million in on-mountain enhancements for the 2007/08 season highlighted by the new Christie Peak Express six-passenger chairlift. Complementing the new chairlift were significant Headwall terrain upgrades (lower mountain runs near the base), snowmaking advances, improved Kids Vacation Center cafeteria, parking facilities, enhanced trail signage and facelifts across the entire resort.

During the next several years, more than a dozen high-end developments in all shapes and sizes will provide the perfect place to call home. In all, more than 4,000 new pillows are expected.

These changes don't change Steamboat's unique history or western culture - it simply takes everything treasured about Steamboat and elevates it to a whole new level, producing a vacation experience just short of heavenly.

Why This Resort is Special or Unique:

Not much has changed in the past hundred years in the small town of Steamboat. With it's old west heritage and genuine friendliness, Steamboat is the place to be.

Steamboat has produced more winter Olympians than any other town in North America, a record 69 and counting, earning Steamboat the name Ski Town, U.S.A.®!
