Common Misperceptions:
Snowbird is only for experts. NOT! There is much more intermediate and even beginner terrain than people think, and the connection to Alta offers access to additional blue and green terrain.
There's no nightlife. Well...somewhat true, but there are more choices for dingin than people think, and there is a nightspot with dancing. Live music is offered several times a week in Ski Season, and the whol of downtown SLC is only 45 minutes away!
There's always a huge line for the tram! NOT any more...since the opening of Peruvian quad (Nov 2006), the out of base area lift capacity has more than doubled substantially reducing wait times for the tram and eliminating them entirely on many days.
You can't get alcohol in Utah! OH PLEASE! Utah is not, and never has been a dry state except during fedeal prohibition in the 1920s. Liquor laws are a little different but not onerous. At Snowbird, every hotel guest is automatically a memebr of the Snowbird Private Club and can thus use the bars Snowbird operates at the resort. We have great microbrews, fine wine lists and no cover charges!

You like to eat well and enjoy good service in a comfortable hotel, but you're not planning to party all night and sleep all day. You may not have a lot of time and want an easy to reach destination close to the airport and served by a direct flight
