    Located in the "Powder Triangle" of British Columbia, Red Mountain is famous for bottomless powder, award-winning steeps, and endless tree-skiing. Over the years, Red Mountain has earned a reputation as a premiere destination for advanced and expert skiers and boarders. Red Mountain is a MUST for those seeking a radical mountain adventure.

    Red Mountain also has a mellow side. 55% of Red Mountain's terrain is ranked as novice and intermediate. Paradise Basin is home to a great selection of wide-open runs that are groomed to perfection. The moderate slopes and well-spaced glades also make this the ideal place to get off the corduroy and master the powder.

    Air Service to Resort:

    Red is easily accessible from major airports in both Canada and the United States. Red Mountain Resort is only a ten minute drive north of the Canada/US Border, a 2.5 hour drive from Spokane International Airport (Washington state) and a 3.5 hour drive from Kelowna International Airport. The regional airports of Trail - a 20 minute drive, and Castlegar - a 30 minute drive also serve the mountain. For added convenience, shuttle transfers are offered from all 4 airports directly to Red Mountain Resort and Rossland, BC.

    Other Transportation Options:

    Greyhound Bus Lines provide daily bus transportation from Calgary AB, Kelowna BC, and Vancouver BC.

    People often believe that as Red Mountain Resort is tucked away in the heart of the Kootenay Rockies, it is difficult to get to. This is not the case considering the 5 airports that are within a 3.5 hour radius of the mountain.

    What's New This Year:

    The 2007/2008 season saw the addition of a new state-of-the-art Doppelmayr quad chairlift. The lift provides easy access to the 4 new beginner and intermediate runs, spread over 100 acres of terrain that were added in 2006.

    Slalom Creek

    Slalom Creek is a brand new 67-unit residential ski-in ski-out condominium project that spans two beautifully designed steeland concrete buildings, one with 24 suites and the other with 43 suites. Slalom Creek represents the first phase in a 1,400-unit master-planned community.
