General Information - As provided by the resort:

    Air Service to Resort:

Calgary International Airport (YYC) is 90 minutes from Banff National Park and a further 45 minutes to Lake Louise and is serviced by direct and connecting flights by all major North American air carriers.

Numerous shuttle services connect guests from the airport to Banff/Lake Louise, as well as vehicle rentals from all major North American rental agencies.

    Other Transportation Options:

Banff/Lake Louise is located north of Idaho and Montana. The Trans Canada highway # 1 runs from Calgary to Vancouver through Banff National Park.

    Common Misperceptions:

"Too cold" - Banff/Lake Louise has a climate similar to many other Rockies resorts in Colorado, Utah, Montana and Wyoming. While further north, the Banff area is at a lower elevation. Average daytime high in the coldest month (January) is -7 celsius (21 fahrenheit)

"No Ski In / Ski Out is an inconvenience" - Frequent, roundtrip ski shuttle service (free with tri-area lift ticket) is a quick, convenient, worry-free way to the slopes.

"Too expensive" - Unlike many other ski resorts, winter is the LOW season in Banff National Park, meaning excellent value in resort. US visitors also benefit from a stronger US dollar.

    Top 5 Selling Points:

    1. Consistent, reliable snow, with a season from mid-November to late May.

    2. Huge variety of skiable terrain, with 3 distinct ski areas offering over 7500 acres on one lift pass.

    3. Winter is the low season in Banff/Lake Louise - accommodation value abounds and lift lines are minimal.

    4. More than just skiing & snowboarding - from exceptional dining and nightlife to unique adventure activities like an ice-canyon walk to the Hot Springs and spas, experiences await.

    5. Incredible unspoiled surroundings - there's a reason this area was designated as Canada's first national park and a United Nations World Heritage Site. Prepare to have your breath taken away at every turn.

    Best Resort Client:

Families, groups, FITs - anyone with a passion for skiing and riding
