It's clear why Copper is the #1 choice of so many Colorado skiers and riders. Naturally divided for all abilities, it offers steep terrain to the east, gentle slopes to the west, intermediate terrain through the middle and some of the best bowl skiing in the state.
Three recently completed base villages have quickly redefined the Copper experience. A new kids-only base lodge — The Schoolhouse — has transformed the Union Creek base area, as have Copper Springs Lodge and the Copper Station base lodge in the East Village.
And, completed last season, The New Village at Copper is alive and well. Five new buildings possessing a variety of lodging opportunities, restaurants, bars and shops now sit at the base of the mountain.

General Information - As provided by the resort:
Copper Mountain, Summity County's largest and least crowded ski resort, offers over 2,500 skiable acres on naturally divided terrain, allowing skiers of all abilities to enjoy the terrain they want. The Village at Copper offers incredible apres, nightlife, restaurants, shops, activites, and of course some of the best premium slopeside lodging in ski country. The BeeLine Advantage, allowing destination guests to bypass the lift lines, continues to prove that Copper is the place to ski.
Air Service to Resort:
Copper is conveniently located 75 miles west of Denver, making Denver International Airport a prime gateway.
United's 350+ daily departures and arrivals, as well as a healthy choice of other carriers, make Copper a breeze to get to.
In fact, Copper consistently rates in the top 10 for ease and accessability in Ski Magazine's annual reader's poll.
Other Transportation Options:
Resort Express offers hassle-free transfers from DIA to Copper Mountain.
Common Misperceptions:
"Copper rolls up their sidewalks once the lifts close".
Copper has always been known for its incredible skiing, but not so much for it's nightlife. Some people still believe this, but our $500 million dollars of improvements in our New Village prove quite the contrary. Dining, shopping, apres, nightlife, climbing wall, quad-bungee, ice-skating, laser shows, musical guests and overal "animation" of our Village prove that Copper "Finally has a Village that lives up to the Mountain".
"Copper is a front range ski resort, and therefore crowded".
Copper moves skiers in a fashion that most ski resorts are quite envious of. Add our naturally divided terrain to this, and you've got virtually no lift lines. Also, some of the other front range passes sell to the Denver skier at a rate of nearly 4 to 1 compared to the Copper pass, meaning less skiers on Copper and more elbow room to enjoy the mountain for what it's meant for.
Top 5 Selling Points:
Get the BeeLine Advantage™ and go to the head of the line. The Beeline Advantage is an exclusive lift ticket that allows you to skip the lift lines by accessing the lift through your own dedicated lane. Additional perks are accessing the mountain 15 minutes early, as well as VIP lesson and rental lanes. To get the BeeLine Advantage™, all you have to do is book your lift tickets with your lodging, prior to arrival.
¨ FINALLY, a Village that lives up to the Mountain. The Village at Copper, located in the heart of it all and just steps away from the lifts, is Copper at its finest. The Village offers premium slope side lodging that will meet your every need, with world-class aprčs ski, dining, shopping and nightlife right outside your door. Intrawest has invested over $500 million in resort and village improvements since 1997.
¨ Naturally Divided Terrain. No less an authority than the US Forest Service has called Copper “the most nearly perfect ski mountain in all of North America”. We’d love to take credit for this, but the truth is that Mother Nature gave us a perfect ski hill. To the West lies our beginner terrain, in the middle is our intermediate, and to the east and up top lies our expert and double diamond skiing. This layout allows the beginners to have their own area, not intimidated by expert skiers whizzing by or taking a wrong turn onto a difficult run. Conversely, the experts have their own area, too, and the intermediates can ride several lifts, deciding whether or not to push it hard and ski to the east, or take a nice cruiser to the west. This layout also makes for a safe ski experience, as all abilities are comfortable in their own element.
¨ Free Snowcat Skiing on Tucker Mountain. Copper's free Tucker Mountain Snowcat tour service just got a little more exciting. Improved snow fencing and the addition of another 12-passenger cat will enhance this legendary experience. Snowcats deliver guests to Tucker Mountain, elevation 12,337 ft., where they'll meet high alpine adventure terrain better known as The Taco, The Nacho and Fremont Glades to name a few. The Tucker Mountain Snowcat experience is an out-of-bounds adventure, well within the boundaries of Copper Mountain. With the improvements, cats will be able to drive more people, farther along the ridge with more frequency.
¨ Kids’ Night out Program is offered Wednesday-Saturday night through out the season. Drop your kids off at the Belly Button Bakery, and we’ll entertain them with supervised games and activities, plus feed them a pizza dinner, while you’re out enjoying a romantic dinner, shopping or having a cocktail. Bring back a receipt totaling $30.00 or more per child, and your baby sitting for the evening is FREE.

Best Resort Client:
Copper has always catered wonderfully to the family, but our New Village is attracting a new wave of hard-core winter vacationers, as well.
Our terrain is perfect for the family, in that they can take the same chairs together but ski different runs, meeting up again at the same chair.
However, our challenging terrain (including FREE snowcat rides on Tucker Mountain and Graveline Gulch "backcountry" shuttled runs), coupled with our high energy high alpine New Village are attracting a new breed to come and stay here at Copper.
