    Introduction

This April, return with us to the Canadian Rockies as we gather in scenic Jasper, Alberta on April 6 – 10, 2010 for SkiTops Network convention. We are in for a treat as our host, the 4-star Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge will greet us with warm hospitality, impeccable service and award-winning cuisine.

This historic landmark property is considered one of the finest examples of the Grand Canadian Lodge experience. The impressive Main Lodge and surrounding cedar chalets and heritage log cabins together comprise an alpine village on the shores of Lac Neauvert. An abundance of wildlife roam the 900 acre grounds while truly majestic peaks in the background define the valley setting. This is quite a place.

And now, a word or two about the skiing …

For over a decade now, SkiTops Members attending Network have been treated to skiing privileges on some of the great mountains of North America. This year is no different - except that likely most of us have never skied here before. Pack your best gear as our mountain host, Marmot Basin, is graciously providing everyone with a 4-day lift pass to this pristine, un-crowded gem of a mountain. The terrain here speaks to all levels of skiers. Here are the stats …
    Ski Marmot Basin

    Ski Marmot Basin

    • 3,000 Vertical
    • 1,675 Ski-able Acres
    • 30% Novice, 30% Intermediate, 20% Advanced and 20% genuine “OMG” expert terrain.
Generally speaking, wide treed trails on the lower half of the mountain quickly give way to high alpine bowls and chutes above. Love to cruise? You will be in heaven here. Looking for a real challenge? Head for Eagle East or the North Chutes. You won’t be disappointed. But no need to wait until SkiTops to see the terrain. Have a look now at www.skiingjasper.com. Be sure to check out the new Canadian Rockies Express lift. Under 8 minutes from the base to the high alpine terrain.

    On to business …

SkiTops Network has always been about creating the most productive business environment possible. Our sequential appointments format, which guarantees every Supplier will have the chance to meet with every Tour Operator in a proper business setting remains unique to this annual meeting. Even our recreational opportunities are designed around networking and relationship building, the cornerstones of our industry. To help keep you in touch with your office, Fairmont will be providing free WIFI internet access to all attendees. The bottom line is that when you Register for SkiTops Network you can be assured that everything will be in place for you to do business, one on one, for the duration of the event. So now let’s take a look at the Agenda.

Tuesday, April 06, 2010: Early Arrival Day.

Jasper is about 5 hours distance from the Calgary International Airport (YYC). The drive time assumes you don’t stop to take pictures along the way. The SkiTops Board strongly encourages all tour operators and suppliers to arrive on Tuesday, April 6th to ensure you are in Jasper for the start of official events. To further incentivize early arrival, there are FREE activities on Wednesday for everyone to experience Jasper.

Travel from Calgary to Jasper is simply breathtaking, literally one of the most scenic drives anywhere in North America. The route takes you through two pristine national parks. This is more than just traveling a mountain road; this is protected wilderness in its grandest setting. Be sure to book a morning flight in Calgary so that you see everything in the daylight. Keep your camera handy.

The later half of the journey, from Lake Louise to Jasper, will take you on the Icefields Parkway, www.icefieldsparkway.ca. Sponsorship Opportunities

No doubt about it, sponsorship of a SkiTops event puts your Company in the spotlight - while you gain more one-on-one time with your primary distribution channel, the Tour Operators.

Consider: Many of SkiTops Sponsors have supported this event for over 10 years – and they tell us that sponsoring a SkiTops convention is one of the best uses of their marketing dollars. That’s because their unique message is carried directly to their prime audience – the Tour Operators. Here are a few of the benefits of Official SkiTops Sponsorship …

  • All Official SkiTops Sponsors will have their logo listed on SkiTops.com. home and membership pages. Your logo and company name will remain on the site until the following year’s event – providing exposure to the skiing public (the Home page) and our Tour Operator staff (via the Members page). These pages receive approximately 120,000 hits per year.

  • All SkiTops Sponsors are listed on the official SkiTops Banner, which is prominently displayed for the duration of the Network.

  • As a SkiTops Sponsor you are an honored guest at the exclusive Sponsors Reception / Dinner the first evening of the Network. Only the Sponsors and the Tour Operators attend this lavish event, so you will have plenty of time to engage the Tour Operators in conversation. Moreover, this evening every Sponsor will have the opportunity to speak directly to the Tour Operators from the podium.

  • And finally, every SkiTops Sponsor will be honored the final evening as a portion of your generous Sponsorship is awarded to the official SkiTops charity.

There are several different levels of SkiTops Sponsorship corresponding to the cost of each event. As a SkiTops Sponsor, you can elect to buy out an entire event, or simply purchase a share or two - in a sponsored lunch for example. The greater the investment, the more exposure and recognition your Company will receive.

So take a few minutes right now and check out the Sponsorship Opportunities listed below. Then select the event and investment level that’s right for you. Now leave the rest to SkiTops, as we put your Company in the spotlight at SkiTops Network 2010.
